Maternal Child Health

StorkProvided to Women, Children, and Infants from Nolan County and surrounding counties. Maternity services offer early prenatal care to women for the prevention of complications which could lead to a life threatening situation for mother & baby.

Services include: health history, laboratory screenings, physical examination, and in depth education. Referrals for sonograms, non stress test, and high risk conditions are made when needed. Program is directed by a women’s healthcare nurse practitioner with physician back-up.

This program is available to women who are not on Medicaid, i.e. persons above income guidelines or for some other reason cannot get on Medicaid. Post Partum checkups and/or referral for Family Planning Services are also available.

Child Health

Child Health Clinic services provide complete physical exam, hearing and vision screenings, growth perimeters, nutritional information, laboratory screenings, scoliosis screening, Immunizations, counseling on health maintenance, and medical clinic(held once a month with physician in attendance). Referrals are made as indicated to other agencies. Payment sources are Medicaid, CHIPS, Title V, Headstart & Private Pay.
